Joining the Juniata River Valley Chamber of Commerce (JRVCC) & the Juniata River Valley Visitors Bureau (JRVVB) means putting yourself ahead of the competi-tion in attracting area tourism and traffic to your busi-ness. Exclusive Referral Service
"Chamber of Commerce" is one of the most widely rec-ognized brands in the world. Visitors, newcomers, busi-nesses and current residents contact our offices on a daily basis for information on area businesses (they are look-ing for YOUR business!) Only members are referred and receive benefits of membership. Our office recommends member services and products to visitors, meeting and convention planners, motor-coach groups, new residents and other members. Contact information for our office is located in the World Chamber of Commerce Directory each year.

Brochure Distribution
Have your brochure and/or business card distributed at NO COST in our office at the Historic Courthouse, in Downtown Lewistown, as well as our various high traffic brochure rack sites in Juniata and Mifflin County. Due to the volume of travelers to our area, the need for your brochure is in great demand! We will also mail, along with our visitors guide, your brochure when it's of special interest to tourists planning to visit our area or relocating here.

Networking Opportunities
Networking is essential to business success. Through the interaction with other community business people, you make contacts, expand knowledge and better under-stand opportunities in the region. The JRVCC/JRVVB holds at least one major event a month, such as a "Business After Hours." A "Business After Hours" is a social, business event that allows you to meet new business prospects, exchange business cards and network in a fun, relaxed atmosphere after work. It is a GREAT opportu-nity for your sales and marketing staff to broaden their contacts, as well as to make people aware of your ser-vices/products. It is also an inexpensive way to say "thank you" to your staff and business friends. It's one of the BEST bargains in town! Great food, fun and networking for a minimal charge! Other events include News at Noon, JRVCC Annual Meeting, Eggs N’ Issues, and many other informational workshops and seminars.

E-Mailing Service
Through the JRVCC, we offer the opportunity to broad-cast e-mail to the chamber membership at no cost. It is a quick, effective way to promote your event, service, or product directly to our members. You can email the in-formation you want broadcasted at least one week in advance to jvacc@juniatavalleychamber.org and we will do the rest! Members are limited to up to six emails per year.

Monthly Newsletter
The JRVCC/JRVVB produces a monthly newsletter called "The View" from the Juniata River Valley. As a member you will receive this publication via e-mail (providing you have e-mail.) or regular mail every month. "The View" includes JRVCC & JRVVB News, Updates, and Fea-tures. It also includes timely information about upcoming events in our region, as well as issues affecting the busi-ness community. Members can also utilize this publica-tion as a communication tool to promote their business through free announcements on events, people, accomplishments and changes. The newsletter is accessible to the entire community through our web-site posting each month. Back issues are archived as well.

Submit an article to “The View” Each month, mem-bers are welcome to submit newsworthy items about their business to the Chamber. Information should be sent to us by the 20th of each month. Items will be used on a space available basis.

Website Listing
Once you become a JRVCC / JRVVB member you will be listed on our web sites at no additional cost. The Website is www.juniatarivervalley.org. Each member receives up to three FREE category listings on our websites. In addi-tion, should you have an existing web site we will link your site to our site FREE provided you have a reciprocal link to our website on your site. We also offer a free “map” to your location and an e-mail link. Our websites are a substantial, valuable, key communications link.

Juniata River Valley Visitors Guide
This publication is DISTRIBUTED to all visitors requesting information about our area through our website, phone, & advertisement. Our Visitors Guide is also dis-tributed at consumer shows, our brochure racks, local chamber businesses and throughout Visitors Centers in Pennsylvania. Tourism appropriate JRVCC/JRVVB mem-bers receive a FREE listing (name, address, phone num-ber, web address) in the Juniata River Valley Visitors Guide. Members have the opportunity to buy advertis-ing in the guide as well. 25,000 Copies Printed Annually, plus, the guide is posted on the Visitors Bureau web-site for downloading.

Juniata River Valley Relocation Guide
A magazine sized, high quality publication designed to present the two county region in the most positive man-ner. This image piece features dozens of photos and nar-rative detailing history, education, religion, business, in-dustry, healthcare, recreation, transportation, sports and events. Many businesses and industries use the guide as a presentation folder when mailing recruitment pack-ages to prospects. Realtors and mortgage lenders utilize it as well. The chamber mails it upon request to new residents and it is also posted on the web-site for downloading.

Membership Plaque
As a new member you are provided with a FREE JRVCC/JRVVB Membership plaque to display in your place of business. Tourists and consumers will recognize the JRVCC/JRVVB member logo and feel your place is one they can trust and feel welcomed in.

Certificate of Origin
As a valuable member service, the Chamber certifies documents required in the sale of goods and services to foreign countries. This certification is officially recognized by overseas customs officials, foreign governments and international businesses. Many times a Certificate of Ori-gin is required for products exported outside of the United States. By filling out a Certificate of Origin, a shipper is certifying that the covered goods meet the rules of origin. The Juniata River Valley Chamber will place a seal and a signature on all completed certifi-cates. This is a FREE service for our Chamber Members. Meeting Space
The Chamber is pleased to offer its building Meeting Rooms to our members for their meeting needs. These rooms are available FREE of charge to Chamber Mem-bers during regular business hours for meetings, seminars or lunches. Please contact the Chamber to check avail-ability.

SCORE Counseling
If you are opening a new business or need some assis-tance with an existing one, the Chamber has S.C.O.R.E. Counseling Services available. You must contact the S.C.O.R.E. Office at (814)234-9415 to set up an appoint-ment with a local counselor. This is a FREE service.
